Dear Friends,
What impact does getting kids through secondary school actually have? We received the following report from our contact in Kisii about Abner, one of the original group of eleven boys we helped in 2021:
“I met Abner on Saturday evening as he was coming from church after choir practice. He smiled at me. He was holding a small baby’s hand. He pointed at the baby and said,, “Waaah! It’s the reason I can’t forget to work for the Lord. This is all because God sent you that late evening to find us being sent home from school. Please never forget to always say hi to your American friends. I am now working as a nurse aid in a private hospital, may they be blessed abundantly. The baby is mine.” He introduced me to a young beautiful woman as his wife. I congratulated him. This is one of your fruits. Abner is not yet very stable, but appreciate
in his small way, he has a bright future courtesy of all who supported and continue to support many more.”
Your help for Abner meant that he could get a job. He can support a wife and his new baby. Thank you for helping him.
You can help more students like Abner to have a future. We are in the midst of fundraising toward our $26,000 goal, which will send 60 students in Kenya and Zimbabwe to secondary school. And right now, your impact is doubled, as a donor will match up to $6000 in gifts made by November 16. All gifts of any size help students like Abner–100% of your contribution goes to secondary school fees! Visit www.GlobalSEF.org for information on how to give via check, PayPal, or Venmo. Abner ended his statement with thank you–Asante Sana!–and so do we!
Asante Sana!
