Habari, Rafiki Mpendwa!
When I visited Kisii, Kenya, in January, I personally experienced the incredible impact that we were having. I visited both St. Mary’s School for Girls and St. Joseph’s School for Boys, met almost all of the 24 students we sponsor, and visited with staff and faculty at each school. I noticed the positive messages at each school, spread around the campuses to inspire the students. This one, on a school bus at St. Joseph’s, hit me hard: “Strive for Success.”
I remember that day four years ago, when my friend Richard posted on Facebook that eleven boys were sent home from school because they could not pay the school fees. We didn’t know if we could raise the funds to get the kids back in school, but we strived for success. And thanks to many of you, we did.
This has been our goal each year since. As we’ve expanded to support more students in Kisii, as we brought in students from Zimbabwe last year, as we sponsored students in Haiti this summer, we continued to strive for success, guided by the faith that we were doing important work that could truly help families and children in some of the most impoverished corners of our world. And thanks to you, we reached success.
I’m hoping you’ll help once again. We need to raise $26,000 before the end of the year to make sure that our students return to school, and to start a few new ones as well. This is incredibly important to us to make sure that we can give these students a chance. Will you help us help these students Strive for Success again this year? Information on making a gift is below.
Thank you SO MUCH for all you have done, and all you are doing, to help students across the globe!
