Hello friends! This week, I received a few thank you letters from the students in Zimbabwe we have sponsored. I wanted to share the letter from Tavonga, a boy at Hope Academy in Chiredzi. The hand-written letter is attached, but here is what Tavonga said:
“I am happy to write you this letter. You are good person because you paid my school fees and uniforms for the whole year. Our principal I like, Hope Academy so much. My favorite subjects are maths and English. Agriculture is difficult but the teacher is a good man. We go for sport at Hippo Valley high school. Our head sends you away if you take drugs and beat other students. I did not go for punishment at all because I am a good boy. Thank you again for helping me to go to school. Your student, Tavonga.”

I agree with Tavonga. Thank you for being a good person and helping out our students in Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Haiti! We are halfway to our $26,000 goal for this year, which will send 60 students to summer and, as Tavonga points out, could keep our students away from drugs and violence. Will you help? Visit www.globalsef.org to learn how to give.
As Tavonga said, thank you again for helping our students go to school!
Best regards,
Joe Nolte, President
