Greetings, friends!
Last week was the first official week of school in Haiti. Many of our students, however, actually have their first day on Monday. I’m excited to tell you who our GSEF scholars are! Thanks to you, Stanley, Francesca, Lovemika, Esther, and Elie-Shama will begin their first year at Saint Paul Secondary School in Jacmel, continuing their path to a career and potential path out of poverty. They join Anson (year 2) at Saint Paul, Edeline (year 2) and Mardoche (year 2) at Blaise Pascal, Emmanuella (year 2) at Centre d’etude Sursum Corda, and Ismeralda (year 4) at LaConcorde as our ten GSEF scholars in Jacmel! This is only possible because of YOUR support!
As we celebrate this incredible success and growth of our partnership in Haiti, we look forward to the closing months of the year. We will be raising funds in earnest to support our returning students in Kenya and Zimbabwe. Between our five schools in three cities, we have 34 students returning, and we will, of course, plan to bring in additional students. We are currently exploring two additional countries where we may wish to expand our work as well. We can only do this with your help! This is a great time to consider making a gift.
